LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Greene County General Hospital is tightening it’s visitor restrictions. The announcement came just hours after Gov. Eric Holcomb declared a state of emergency in response to Indiana’s first case of the coronavirus.
The hospital will restrict access to it’s facilities, other than the main lobby, outside of normal business hours. Those being 7 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Visitors under 18 will not be permitted in the hospital and all non-essential visits are discouraged. The hospital is also suspending it’s volunteer programs
State and local officials stress that anyone with symptoms of the COVID-19 coronavirus should call their doctor or hospital before seeking care.
