PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man wanted on multiple charges out of Clay County was arrested Wednesday after leading Parke County officials on a high-speed chase.
The chase began after deputies attempted a traffic stop Wednesday on a blue Ford Mustang driven by Tracey W. Burk, 51, of Brazil. Instead of stopping, Burk drove off. During the pursuit, authorities said the vehicles reached speeds over 100 MPH.
The pursuit ended when Burk wrecked the Mustang he was driving. No injuries were reported, and he was taken into custody without further incident.
Burk was booked into the Parke County Jail on preliminary charges of felony resisting law enforcement, reckless driving and driving while suspended.
Authorities also determined Burk was wanted on multiple warrants out of Clay County for battery resulting in bodily injury to a public safety official, resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness, criminal mischief and theft.
