TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute police on Thursday arrested a man in connection with the Sept. 18 fatal shooting of an Indiana State University student.
Darius Jenkins, 26, was arrested at 2:56 p.m. on charges of criminal recklessness. He is being held without bond pending a 9 a.m. Friday court hearing.
David Farrell and Wesley Meadows were both previously arrested on Nov. 18 for criminal recklessness in reference to the death of 18-year-old Valentina Delva from Indianapolis. Delva was was attending a house party at 321 South 6th Street just before she was shot while sitting in a car at around 1:55 a.m. on Sept. 18. Two others were shot, but recovered from their wounds. Between 50 and 100 people were attending the party, but only 20 were there by the time police arrived.
Five others were arrested Sept. 18 during the police investigation of the shooting, on charges of possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.
