BLOOMINGDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Authorities said four people were arrested and one of them was stabbed in Parke County.
Parke County Sheriff Justin Cole said deputies were called to a domestic situation in Bloomingdale around 11 a.m. on Thursday.
While police were on the way to the call, a second caller reported that there had been a stabbing at the scene. Officials responded and the victim was treated at the scene.
After further investigation, police arrested Melissa Anna Wimmer, 40, and Gloria D. Farrington, 60, both of Rockville. Joshua S. Engelking, 35, of Bloomingdale was also taken into custody.
The stabbing victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in custody for possession of a Schedule III Narcotic and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Wimmer is being charged with Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Minor, a Level 6 Felony. She is being held on a $35,000 bond.
Farrington is being charged with Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Minor, and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Engelkind was charged with Possession of a Schedule III Narcotic and Possession of Paraphernalia. Both are Class A Misdemeanors. He is being held on an $8,000 bond.
