TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Children’s Museum hosted a balloon release party on Friday for its “New Years at Noon” event.
Children and their families gathered at the museum at noon for the balloon release. This was a way for children to be included in the new year festivities without staying up late.
Those who participated also made noise makers to shake as the balloons fell from the sky.
“It’s really so fun. This is one of our most anticipated events every year. It always sells out,” Executive Director Susan Turner said. “It’s a great chance for kids and families to come together and celebrate the New Year a little bit earlier in the day, in an environment that’s super fun for them.”
After the balloon release, kids enjoyed more activities including games and music.
