TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Work on the Terre Haute City Hall parking lot is expected to wrap up this spring.
Crews have been creating an “environmentally friendly” parking lot that’s designed to divert stormwater and other wastewater away from the river.
“We’ve got very limited parking right now,” City Engineering Department Director of Inspections Bradley Utz said. “People have had to park across the street to get here, but I haven’t heard too much bad about it. It seems like it’s going Ok, but I think everyone is looking forward to it being done.”
He added that the project seems to be on track to be finished close to its estimated completion date.
“Any work in the winter is slow work, but it has progressed forward. We haven’t had too many delays, other than the weather, so it’s moving forward.”
Work is expected to be complete by April 15.
