LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Glenburn Home officials announced the reopening of the William T. Murphy Community and Wellness Center on Monday.
In a release, Glenburn Home CEO Amy Gum expressed excitement over the reopening of the center, which is one of the program sites for Generations’ Meals on Wheels.
The Meals on Wheels program provides hundreds of older adults and individuals with disability with meals. Those meals are funded through state and federal funds for qualified people, and other clients also donate according to their income.
The Community and Wellness Center also offers an exercise room to help keep seniors in shape. Activities like bingo and one-day trips are also offered at the center.
The center is located across the street from Glenburn Home on Glenburn Road in Linton. Its hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
All seniors are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Unvaccinated seniors are asked to follow basic COVID-19 precautions.
