PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Rockville man was arrested on Independence Day after a sheriff said he refused to pull over fast enough during a traffic stop.
According to Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier, the incident occurred on U.S. 41 when a deputy attempted to pull over a motorcycle they said was driving at speeds of 88 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Frazier said the motorcycle refused to pull over initially driving for an additional 3.5 miles before eventually pulling over.
The driver, Victor K Vandivier, 54, of Rockville, was then placed under arrest for resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.
Vandivier was taken to the Parke County Jail, and reportedly held on a bond of $8,000.
