JASONVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Firefighters were called to a residence in Jasonville for a house fire Monday.
According to Jasonville Fire Assistant Fire Chief Mike Duckworth, firefighters were called out at 1:23 p.m. to the home in the 200 block of South Lawton Street in Jasonville.
Duckworth said the fire caused the second floor to collapse and that, as of 3:45 p.m., firefighters were working to put out hot spots in the building. The home is considered a loss due to the damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
Duckworth said no one was in the building at the time of the fire.
In addition to the Jasonville Fire Department, Wright, Lewis, Thunderbird, and Linton departments responded to the scene.
