VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — As people around the Wabash Valley welcome the new year, some people are welcoming new members of the family.
According to a press release from Good Samaritan, the hospital welcomed the first baby of 2024 around 4:37 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2 at the Good Samaritan Obstetrics Unit.
Parents Ivan and Katherine Raber of Montgomery, Indiana named their baby Shawn Andre Raber. Shawn weighed 8 pounds and 7 ounces and was 20 inches long and will also be welcomed to the family by his older brother.
Good Samaritan congratulated the family with a gift basket of baby essentials.
