VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vigo County Parks & Recreation is ramping up for the ‘Total Eclipse of the Haute.’
While area accommodations are said to be booking up quickly across the Wabash Valley for lodging, the parks department said they still have campsites available.
Solar Eclipse campsites are located at Fowler Park, Prairie Creek Park, and Hawthorn Park on a 4-night minimum stay requirement. Check in will be Friday, April 5th with check out being Tuesday, April 9th.
Site prices will be as follows:
- Electric and direct Water hook up sites- $60 a night
- Electric hook up sites- $50 a night
- Primitive tent sites- $40 a night
Reservations are available ONLY for the eclipse event, regular camp reservations will be available February 1, 2024.
The website states that since this is a special event, these reservations are non-refundable, including for weather.
