VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Early voting is now underway in Indiana ahead of the state’s May primary.
On Tuesday in Vigo County, the Haute City Center, Meadows Shopping Center, and the Vigo County Annex opened as 28-day vote centers.
On April 30, additional centers will open for early voting. All vote centers will be open on election day.
Jamie Norton is the Co-Director of Vigo County Voter Registration. Norton said registered voters just need a state-issued photo ID to cast their ballots and encourages people to do so.
“Well, this election we have a lot of choices to make not only for state level, federal level, but we have a lot of local elections and if you don’t get out and vote, you are really wasting your opportunity to have a voice in our community,” Norton said.
