CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a temporary road closure will take place near Howesville, Indiana in Clay County.

According to a release from INDOT, starting on or after Monday, April 15, State Road 59 between County Road 300 W and County Road 200 W, located just inside and west of Howesville will be closed temporarily.
The release notes that crews will be working to replace a structure in the area and that work is expected to last until early May, weather permitting.
INDOT has released an official detour around the project: State Road 246 to State Road 159 to State Road 48.
All drivers are encouraged to avoid the area during closure or construction and to drive carefully while in the area.
