VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Work is underway on the site of a future plant in Vigo County Industrial Park II.
The current project will be a manufacturing plant for Entek, which makes lithium-ion battery separators used in cars.
Officials broke ground on the 1.5 billion dollar facility back in September that will be built on the former Pfizer property.
The company said the plant will generate more than 640 high-wage jobs by the end of 2027.
