TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Investigators are still searching for two men after making two arrests in last week’s murder in Terre Haute, according to court documents.
On May 7, Terre Haute police responded to a home on S. Center Street for a report of a shooting. Police found one man, Antonio Jones, dead and a woman shot four times.
On Tuesday, Terre Haute Police announced they had arrested one person in connection to the murder. Then on Wednesday morning they announced a second arrest. The two suspects are Nick O. Rogan, 21, and Levon J. Warrington, 21, both of Terre Haute.
A probable cause affidavit filed in the case against Levon J. Warrington states that on the night of the attack, a victim told police that four masked individuals burst into their home and announced they were looking for Jones.
“They heard a loud bang and she observed four individuals coming in her house. [Victim] stated they kicked in the north side door of the house to gain entry and four people were inside their bedroom. [Victim] added that one individual was wearing a yellow top and that she thinks all four were wearing masks. [Victim] said one of the individuals said “We’re here for you [expletive]” referring to Antonio.”

The victim told police that Jones told her not to fight the intruders just before the gunshots began.
“[Victim] said at one point she was on the floor with Antonio on top of her. She crawled to her cell phone and called 911,” the PCA reads.
Police found surveillance footage nearby that reportedly showed four individuals matching the description given by the victim walking in the alley between South Center Street and 7th Street just before the shooting. The same people were then seen running north in the same alley a short time later.
On May 8, an autopsy of Jones showed that he had been shot five times. Police said the other victim was shot four times and had to receive emergency surgery, but has since been released from the hospital.
The court documents state that Rogan confessed to being at the scene of the murder with three other individuals. According to Rogan, he had been told the reason for going to the home was due to Warrington “wanting to fight someone.” Rogan also told police that he knew Warrington and one other person had guns with them.
He said that night they rode in one of the unnamed individuals’ vehicle to the intersection of 7th and Hulman streets and began walking south after parking the vehicle. When they got to the home, Rogan told police that Warrington kicked in the door. While initially, Rogan told police he stayed outside, later, he reportedly admitted that “he may have went inside the house as well.”
Rogan told police that Warrington was upset with one of the other individuals after the shooting due to the other victim having been shot saying she wasn’t supposed to be injured.
Following the arrest of Warrington, THPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Justin Sears said that detectives are continuing to work around-the-clock on the case.
“The Terre Haute Police Department remains committed to ensuring justice for the victims and their families,” Sears said.
Police said further information would be released as it becomes available.
