VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Progress is being made on two projects that will generate hundreds of jobs in Vigo County.
Crews are busy working at the Vigo County Industrial Park, which will be home to an Amazon delivery facility. Progress also continues on the future site of ENTEK within the industrial park; ENTEK is a company that makes lithium ion battery separators for cars.
Vigo County Commissioner Mark Clinkenbeard says he drove through the industrial park recently and was happy to see the progress.
“I believe both these companies will be good partners for the community and it says something when an Amazon facility or a company like ENTEK wants to come,” Clinkenbeard said. “They believe in our community and it’s just nothing but good things.”
The Amazon facility is expected to bring about 90 to 100 full and part-time jobs. The ENTEK plant is expected to create more than 640 jobs.
