TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– With the Vigo County Fair being only a few days away the Wabash Valley Fair Association hosted its kickoff.
The fair association hosted the event to thank the community members, sponsors, and promoters. The fair will be welcoming back the 4-H-er’s and their families, carnival rides, food vendors, and much more.
The most popular events that will be making its way back this year are tractor pulls, monster trucks, and micro wrestling. Other events held will include a police and fire demolition derby.
The Fairgrounds Events Manager Jenny Hamilton says she’s thankful for everyone’s help.
“We wanna be able to honor people that make this place run. The sponsors, if we didn’t have sponsors we couldn’t do what we do. If we didn’t have a fair board we couldn’t do what we do. So, we’re just really excited to be able to give them time in the spotlight and let them know how much they’re appreciated.”
The fair will run from July 6 until the 13. To see list of events, head over to the the Vigo County Fair’s app or website.
