TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Tonight, July 8, first responders battled it out at one of the fair’s most popular events.
It was the “Police and Fire Department Demolition Derby”. The derby involved local first responder departments as they battled for the badge. This is an annual event that has taken place for many years. The winner of the derby receives $750 to be donated to a charity of their choice.
When the dust settled a member of the police department crew out maneuvered the fire department to win the grand prize.
