VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A South Vermillion High School graduate was one of seven students selected for Senator Todd Young’s summer internship in Washington, D.C.
Nathan Mock, a South Vermillion graduate and current junior at University of Chicago studying political science spent 7 weeks participating in Senator Todd Young’s summer internship program.

The program provides opportunities for students to gain experience in daily activities and special projects related to legislation, communications, and constituent services.
“I’d say the internship was the closest you could get to being at the center of it all in the political world,” said Nathan Mock. “You have research, then experiences with the working of congress, and meeting experts in all of their various fields and professions.”
Senator Young’s office offers internship opportunities year-round, in both his Washington, D.C. and Indiana offices. The internship program offers students the opportunity to experience the legislative branch of government and serve Hoosiers.
And if any students are interested in in applying for future internships, you can find all the information here.
