TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Here are the food inspections for the last week in Terre Haute courtesy of the Vigo County Health Department.
MK Sushi 3540 S US Highway 41 (3 Critical, 5 Non-Critical) Observed several ready to eat food items without date markings. Observed accumulated black debris on interior of ice machine. Found walk in cooler not holding proper temperature of 41 F or less, Found mayo based sauces sitting out at room temperature.
Penn Station #194, 2566 E. Wabash Ave. (3 Critical, 5 Non-Critical) Observed accumulated debris on soda nozzles in lobby area. Observed grease trap and floor drain overflowing into dish room and prep sink had a leak. Observed dead bugs in back room of kitchen.
Poplar St. Food Mart, 1257 Poplar St. (3 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) Observed accumulated food debris on and around rims of condiment and sauce bottles. Observed excessive accumulation of gnats and/or flying insects in back room and dish area. Found opened sauces being held at room temperature. Manufacturer’s instructions require refrigeration. Shall be 41F or below.
3.14, 3401 S. US Hwy 41 (3 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Observed raw eggs stored next to and above ready to eat foods. Observed foods throughout establishment without date of markings. Any potentially hazardous food held past 24 hours shall have dates. Observed hand wash sink being blocked by fryer.
China Wok, 3247 N. 21st St. (2 Critical, 7 Non-Critical) Observed raw shellfish and eggs stored next to and above ready to eat foods. Observed no date markings on various food items throughout establishment.
Penn Station Subs #182, 3642 S US Hwy 41 (2 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Observed sliced ready to eat deli meats and cheeses with date of consumption. Observed accumulated black debris on soda machine chute.
Pizza Hut of Terre Haute, 2400 S. 3rd St. (2 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Observed multiple food items and salad prep coolers without date of consumption. Observed excessive accumulated grease and debris on storage rack for clean pans.
The Verve + Scout’s, 677 Wabash Ave. (2 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Observed raw eggs stored above ready to eat foods. Observed multiple foods stored in cold well without date markings. All foods held longer than 24 hours shall have proper date markings.
Vigo Market, 1301 Poplar St. (2 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Found establishment keeping water solution for fried chicken past four hours and not keeping documentation of time held. Found establishment without sanitizer for use in three bay sink.
