TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Balloon Festival made its return to Fairbanks Park.
The festival is now in its third year, and includes a free kids zone, over 10 different food and drink vendors, live music, and everything balloons. Chances And Services for Youth chief operating officer Brandon Halleck says the event provides family fun while supporting a greater cause.
“It’s great to see balloons,” Halleck said. “If you’ve never seen a hot air balloon, or if you’ve never been on a ride, it’s a great opportunity. We do have two tethered rides so we can move through a little bit quicker with that, but it’s also a fundraiser for Chances And Services for Youth, so it’s a great opportunity to come out and have a great time and support an organization that’s using these dollars to help further our mission working with children and families in the Wabash Valley.”
The festival will also be in operation on September 14 from 5-10 p.m. For more information on CASY, visit their website.
