(Reuters) – An area of low pressure located northeast of the northwestern Bahamas has 30% chance of becoming a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Tuesday.
“The system is already producing gale-force winds, but environmental conditions appear only marginally favorable for additional tropical or subtropical development over the next day or so,” it added.
