TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Indiana State Police (ISP) responded to a wreck at Denny’s Wednesday morning.
According to Sgt. Matt Ames from ISP, Around 8:40 a.m. a 67-year-old woman from Ohio mistook the accelerator for the brake and ended up driving through the corner of the building located at 3442 US Highway 41. Neither the driver nor the passenger received any injuries and no patrons inside the restaurant were injured.
The building inspector arrived at the scene before the vehicle was removed to inspect the damage and determined that no major structural damage was found. According to Denny’s Manager Jim Shorter, everyone is ok and the restaurant is still open for business
