(Reuters) – An area of low pressure located northeast of the northwestern Bahamas has a 50% chance of becoming a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.
“Although environmental conditions appear only marginally favorable for additional development, a short-lived tropical or subtropical storm could form today or this evening,” it said.
