TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An Indiana woman is using a negative time in her life to bring a message of hope as we enter the holiday season.
Ashton Purcell is from northern Indiana. She says she suffered from a deep depression and found that writing, helped her cope.
That’s how the book, “A Christmas Wish”, came about.
“The book is about a little mouse. He’s orphaned. He’s three months old,” explains Purcell. “He’s tired to dealing with the cold in the winter. He’s looking for a warm place to stay. So, along the line, during the night, he meets up with a jolly stranger, Santa, who grants his wish and he also tells him what the true meaning of Christmas is all about.”
You can pick up a copy of “A Christmas Wish” at many local bookstores. It’s also available on Amazon and EBay.
