VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It was a busy day Saturday at the Vigo County Fairgrounds as the annual 4-H Holiday Craft Bazaar took place.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a barn at the fairgrounds was full of vendors selling holiday items, booths giving out prizes, and of course, to celebrate the 4-H theme, animals.
Guests could find homemade crafts, jewelry, clothing, and kitchenware from the local vendors.
The event is put on every year with the Purdue Extension of Vigo County 4-H and serves as an opportunity for 4-H participants to register for the upcoming season.
The cost to enter the barn was just $1, but a leader of the event, Emily Brown, says the money raised will go right back to 4-H students.
“All of the proceeds from the entry and the vendor fees go towards our 4-H Council Scholarship Fund. This funds scholarships for our 4-H students that are juniors and senior in high school.”
Event leaders said the event Saturday was a success, as around 500 to 600 people made their way to the fairgrounds throughout the day.
