TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Convention Center has begun their quest to get the local community in the holiday spirit, starting this morning with “Breakfast with the Grinch.”
From 9 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, at the cost of just $15 per adult and a little less for kids, families could enjoy a buffet of Grinch themed breakfast items such as green pancakes and eggs.
This is the first event of its kind that the Terre Haute Convention Center has put on, yet people were excited as tickets were sold out in advamce.
The Grinch was walking around all morning, available for pictures with families. Which is what Pam Chamberlain, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Terre Haute Convention Center, said events like this are all about.
“Community is everything to us. The building was built to bring people together for events, especially after Covid, a lot of people haven’t been able to get together. So, we were like, what can we do to offer something different that we haven’t seen in Terre Haute for a while. This was just something that came about and we were all in to do it.”
Next weekend, the Terre Haute Convention Center is holding “Breakfast with Santa.” Tickets are still available on Eventbrite.
