VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Good Samaritan has announced its leadership succession plan, after Rob McLin, President and CEO, announced he will retire in January 2026.
Since McLin’s announcement, the Good Samaritan Board of Governors has selected Adam Thacker, Chief Operating Officer, to succeed McLin as President and CEO upon his retirement.
Over the next year, Thacker will work alongside McLin to ensure a smooth transition to his role leading Good Samaritan and its nearly 1,800 care givers.
“Over the last 10 years I have witnessed Adam (Thacker) grow into an incredible leader who has Good Samaritan’s best interest at heart,” McLin stated. “I am confident Adam (Thacker) will do a phenomenal job leading and growing our organization for years to come.”
In January 2025, Thanker’s title will change, and he will step into his new role as President and Chief Administrative Officer, along with some new responsibilities to aide in the transition.
Thacker says he is honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead such an amazing organization.
“Good Samaritan plays an incredibly vital role in this region as the provider of choice in healthcare and the employer of choice for the talented providers and caregivers that deliver on our mission and vision each day,” Thacker added. “Rob has served as my mentor for the past 10 years and I am very appreciative of the strong foundation he has laid in this role.”
