BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A beloved local store is getting ready to close its doors in Brazil and move on to a new opportunity.
A&B Farmhouse has been a staple in the Brazil community for the past four years.
The owner, Andy Stone, says they specialize in home decoration and gift items.
“You walk in and it’s like walking into a home, but you can purchase anything that you want”, Stone said. “It gives you ideas and inspires people to what they want their house to look like.”
At the end of the month, the farmhouse will be moving to Noblesville.
Stone says the opportunity to grow his business was too good to pass up.
“I know a friend there that has a building that is vacant and available for lease”, Stone said. “We started talking a little bit and the demographics of what is going on there, with the amount of movement, it’s kind of like being on [State Road] 40 on steroids.”
Despite the vision, Stone says the decision wasn’t painless.
“I live life with no regrets”, said Stone. “It wasn’t a decision made easily, but it’s what’s best for growing A&B Farmhouse to the next level.”
Stone said he is sad to move out of such a great community, but he will never forget Brazil.
“When I came to Brazil, I wasn’t really sure what to expect”, Stone said. “This community has opened their hearts to me, and it has really been a fantastic four years. I’ve been changed by this community for the better and for the good.”
A&B Homes, the real estate company just down the road, will continue to operate in Brazil.
The farmhouse is currently selling its inventory at heavily discounted prices, just before the move.
