SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Tuesday morning, Catholic Charities and the Shelburn Community Club teamed up for an ongoing food distribution.
Community Club officials said they hold this event the third Tuesday of every month. It takes place at the Shelburn Community Center.
Residents can get fresh produce, canned goods, and non-perishable food to fill up their pantries. Shelburn Community Club Vice President Sarah Johnston said they’re willing to do anything to help out the community.
“They can’t make it from paycheck to paycheck, they have families, or they are taking care of their elderly parents,’ said Johnston. “We are trying to do the best we can to compensate and help these people as much as possible.”
The next food distribution at this site is February 18 at 9:30 a.m.
