SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Viral illnesses seem to be affecting people of all age groups in the valley over the past few weeks.
Dr. Orlando Cruz from Sullivan County Community Hospital said that most of this illness has been viral meaning mostly flu or covid like symptoms. He encourages people to stay rested and hydrated along with keeping good hand hygiene and avoiding crowded areas.
Dr. Cruz goes over the signs in which you should head to the doctor’s office.
“It is kind of an goes off an individual basis but anyone with progressive shortness of breath or chest pain is always worrisome or I they feel that any of their symptoms are severe, or they feel as if they are having an emergency, we are here to see them,” said Cruz.
Dr. Cruz said anyone with a predisposing illness should be extra careful when going out.
