TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Wednesday, we asked viewers to vote in our latest poll and share their thoughts on a proposal in Illinois to ban cellphone usage in classrooms. Here are those results.

Eighty percent of respondents said yes, while twenty percent said no.
This all comes as Gov. Pritzker endorsed legislation that would require cellphone policies to be in place by the 2026-2027 school year. If passed, Illinois would join eight other states that have policies banning or limiting cellphones in the classroom.
