TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A semi-driver on I-70 Tuesday, ran into the back of an Indiana Department of Transportation truck resulting in the closure on one lane.
According to Indiana Police Seargent Matt Ames, at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, a semi-driver that was heading westbound near the 7.5 mile-marker on I-70, when he became drowsy.
“He said he was drowsy and failed to observe the arrow board on the Indiana Department of Transportation truck and ran into the back of it,” said Sgt. Ames.
Sgt. Ames said “both drivers were transported to local hospitals with complaints of pain but no serious injuries.”
One lane of I-70 was closed for two hours but normal traffic travel has resumed.
