ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Rockville Police Department in conjunction with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested two men Tuesday after serving a search warrant.
According to a news release, the warrant was for a home in the 400 block of Barton Street in Rockville. During the investigation, officers were able to find evidence of illegal narcotics along with child pornography. 33-year-old Shane Swick of Rockville and 64-year-old Greg Swick were arrested by officers.
The release states that Shane Swick was arrested on 10 counts of possession of child pornography, which is a level five felony. Greg Swick was arrested for possession of marijuana as a class B misdemeanor, possession of paraphernalia as a class C misdemeanor, possession of cocaine as a level six felony, possession of methamphetamine as a level six felony, and maintaining a common nuisance as a level six felony.
The release continued saying both are now being held in the Parke County Jail. The Rockville Police Department worked as an affiliated member with the Indiana ICAC Task Force. The task force consists of multiple agencies and is led by the Indiana State Police, which investigates and prosecutes those who use the internet to exploit or entice children. The release states that the task force goes through thousands of tips, investigates hundreds of cases, and saves dozens of children annually from ongoing sexual abuse. The task force encourages Hoosiers to report these types of crimes to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
