HILLSDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Indiana Department of Transportation(INDOT) has announced that the bridge over Little Raccoon Creek will be temporarily closed.
According to the news release, the closure will begin on or after April 7. The cause of the closure is due to a local project being worked on. While the bridge is closed, crews will be working on bridge maintenance, such as a bridge deck overlay and patching.
Work on the bridge is estimated to last until mid-August, depending on the weather. The official detour will be U.S. 36 to State Road 63 and then to County Road 800 South. INDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes and drive safely near construction areas.
