VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Vincennes University will be holding the President’s Spring Fling and the 5th Annual Blazers Give Day on April 3.
Blazers Give Day is a 24-hour initiative where alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends come together to raise funds to support the college and its mission to provide high-quality educational programs and empower the next generation of students. The celebration is a university-wide event and will have events at the Vincennes campus, Jasper campus, the Aviation Technology Center in Indianapolis, and in the communities of Vincennes and Jasper.
Executive Director of VU Foundation and Senior Director of Institutional Advancement Kristi Deetz said, “We are thrilled to be celebrating our 5th Blazers Give. The day is about honoring the incredible VU Community and how together we make a lasting impact from empowering students and faculty to enhancing programs and initiatives that shape a brighter future. We are grateful every day, but Blazers Give Day is a special occasion to show our collective spirit – the Trailblazer spirit.”
Local restaurants will also be chipping in by hosting dine-in to donate nights at their restaurants during the days leading up to the event. A full list will be down below of those still available to support. The college said any donation, no matter the size, helps. The President’s Spring Fling will also take place on April 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with live music, games, and snacks. To donate, visit this link.
