TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The new face of Terre Haute is here. Officials hope a new logo will better-represent the community and history.

Sporting bold colors representing the pallet of the Terre Haute scene, this logo makes a statement. According to Mayor Brandon Sakbun, the new logo represents Terre Haute’s heart, history, and shared future. Incorporated in this logo is the courthouse, the Larry Bird statue, and city skyline. Sakbun said it illustrates shared ideas and opportunities. Sakbun goes on to describe the second version of the logo emphasizes Terre Haute as the “crossroads.” Sakbun said the next step is redesigning the city of Terre Haute’s website.
“Website redesign is gonna be great for our community not just to access information, calendars, and times, but help do business more efficiently with the city of Terre Haute, ” said Sakbun.
Eathan Salsbury is the marketing specialist for the Terre Haute Convention and Visitors” Bureau. He shared his thoughts on the new logo.
“I really like it. I think it looks, the courthouse and everything, it’s a cool design. I know we are heading towards a new, fresh start for Terre Haute,” said Salsbury.
In addition to the new logo, an updated tagline was released. Changing the original tagline from “See you in Terre Haute” to “Meet us at the crossroads”.
