TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Dustin Tubbs has died as a result from the shooting incident on July 10th in the Kroger South parking lot.
According to Vigo County Sheriff Derek Fell, “The investigation indicates that this was a murder/suicide incident. Investigation shows that Tubbs (passenger) shot Dubois (driver) while both were inside of the vehicle located in the parking lot. He then shot himself while remaining inside the vehicle.”
Sheriff Fell confirmed that a young girl was also inside the vehicle during the incident. He told WTWO that the child was uninjured and that no other injuries were reported.
“Our thoughts and prayers will continue to go out to the families involved, especially the young child involved in this incident”, Fell said.
