CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Over in Clay City was the Inaugural West Central Indiana Summit, where they unveiled the new brand.
The new look features bright colors and icons found throughout West Central Indiana. Icons depicted within the letter W are a graduation cap representing new opportunities, corn for agriculture, the Wabash River, and a sunrise for new beginnings.
Then, moving to the other letter, C, is the Coca-Cola bottle representing innovation,
a courthouse, and lastly, a covered bridge.
Jess Crawford, VP of Strategic Marketing with the West Central Indiana Partnership, shares her hopes for when people see this new brand.
“To see the unity and togetherness that our region represents and that we are working toward, and I also hope that they are happy. You know, it’s bright. It’s colorful. Really want it to be popping and eye-catching. We want people to stop and say what is west central Indiana?” said Crawford.
They say their goal is to collaborate with partners, business owners, and others from across the region to advance opportunities together, such as more tourism. Josh Alsip, VP of Regional Engagement with the West Central Indiana Partnership, said the summit was held to get the ball rolling.
“All of these partners getting together and having a conversation, but sometimes just getting excited about what we’re doing and building energy for working together,” said Alsip.
They said they hope this will better-represent west central Indiana for more information, visit West Central Indiana Partnership – West Central Indiana Partnership.
