TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A nationally known Democrat leader is making an appearance in Terre Haute.
James Carville will headline the Pasta & Politics dinner hosted by the Vigo County Democratic Party.

Carville is the former Chief Strategist in Bill Clinton’s 1992 Presidential Campaign.
“Pasta & Politics is more than a dinner. It’s a chance for our community to come together, hear from leaders who care about working families, and get energized for the future of Indiana,” said Joseph Etling, Vigo County Democratic Party Chair. “We’re thrilled to welcome James Carville, Mayor Sakbun, and this outstanding lineup of public servants to Terre Haute.”
Other Democratic leaders, including Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun will also be in attendance.
Other prominent leaders include:
- Mary Allen, candidate for Indiana’s 8th Congressional District
- Beau Bayh, candidate for Indiana Secretary of State
- Former U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly, who represented Indiana in the U.S. Senate
- Former Congressman Brad Ellsworth, who represented the 8th District and later served as U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Indiana
The evening will also include a pasta dinner, remarks from each speaker, and an opportunity for guest comments.
The event is sold out, but for those with a ticket, doors will open at 5 p.m. and the program will begin at 6 p.m.
