VINCENNCES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The director of a film celebrating the culture and traditions of Native Americans will be speaking at Vincennes University.
The Vincennes University Humanities Film and Lecture Series, Vincennes University Office of Global Engagement, and Wabash Valley Progressives is offering a free screening of the film, “End of the Line: The Women of Standing Rock.” The event is free and open to the public.
According to the university, “The film tells the story of a group of indigenous women who risk their lives to stop the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, which jeopardizes their land, water, and entire way of life.”
The Emmy-winning director of the film, Shannon Kring, will lead a discussion following the film.
The event will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. (ET) at the Vincennes University Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.
