TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Griffin Bike Park hosted their annual Lake Jump Extravaganza Saturday.
Bikers rode their bikes down an inclined ramp and jumped in the lake one at a time.
Due to COVID-19 riders were asked to sign up for a specific time slot allowing for smaller crowds and social distancing.
Rich Moore, the park’s manager says he’s glad the event is giving folks a chance to enjoy the outdoors.
“It’s nice to get people out. People are tired of being couped up in the house. We’re outside in the sunshine, the weather’s awesome. They’re able to swim, ride bikes and have fun all at the same time.”
Last year’s event was postponed due to renovations.
