CHICAGO, IL (WTWO/WAWV) — The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation made an announcement in regards to cannabis, on Tuesday.
According to a press release, the department has released applications for adult use of cannabis licenses for dispensing organizations.
“As Illinois enters the next phase of its adult use cannabis, we are committed to a process that is efficient, timely and most critically, continues to place equality at the forefront,” said Governor JB Pritzker.
To qualify for an license, the applicant must reside in Illinois and meet one of the criteria on the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s

The application deadline is January 2, 2020.
