CAYUGA, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The upcoming Gathering at the Crossing will bring history to life in Cayuga.
The 5th annual event will be held Sept. 6 through 8 at the Vermillion County Fairgrounds.
Friday and Saturday events will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday, times will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a historic church service planned at 10 a.m.
Historical reenactors will interpret activities from the later part of the 18th century in the territory now known as Indiana and Illinois.
Activities will include an apothecary/herbalist, historical artisans, basket weaving, bowl carving, children’s games, storytelling, colonial beekeeping, black powder musket demonstrations and much more.
The event is free and open to the public. Food will be available with proceeds going to the Vermillion County Jr. Leaders.
The event is sponsored by the Vermillion County 4-H.
