WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Health Department partnered with Sisters of Providence on Thursday to provide a vaccination clinic in West Terre Haute.
The Health Department noticed the West Terre Haute area had lower vaccination rates than other parts of the county.
That is due, officials said, in part to there being no pharmacies or other vaccination sites in the town.
The health department set up the vaccination clinic at the Sisters of Providence Food Pantry.
27 people received vaccines during Thursday’s three-hour clinic.
