UPDATE: Vigo County deputies say a robbery happened around 4:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank on U.S. 41.
Authorities say the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money.
No weapons were displayed and the man was about to leave the bank with an undetermined amount of money.
No injuries were reported.
Officials are unsure whether the man left on foot or by car, but they were able to get a good picture of him.
The Vigo County K-9 unit was also called to the scene to try and locate him.
“We are optimistic that we can locate the individual. Hopefully we get some tips from the community. It’s always a plus to be able to put this information out there to the community and get feedback information it’s very beneficial to our job,” Derek Fell, Chief of Operations for the Vigo County Sheriff’s Dept.
