TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Deming Park has been decorated for Easter ahead of some fun community events planned at the park.
The Easter bunny will visit the holiday house at Deming Park on April 2 and 3 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. During that time families can bring their own cameras and get pictures taken with the Easter bunny.
On April 9 the park will host its annual Easter egg hunt, with lots of eggs for children to find.
Families can also take a ride on the bunny express train on all three days from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Train rides cost $1 per person.
“We’ve been planning this for weeks and weeks so our community is so excited to come out and the kids can hunt out all the Easter eggs. We have prizes too. We have some bike giveaways so it’s going to be a really good time.”
Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Director of Recreation Sara Turpen
The Easter egg hunt will be scheduled in age groups, with the 2 to 4 year-olds hunting at 2 p.m., 5 to 10 year-olds will begin their hunt 30 minutes later at 2:30 p.m. on April 9.
