SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A community art project, several months in the making, is now complete in the city of Sullivan.
Members of The Art Guild in Sullivan painted a patriotic mural on the side of Riggs Hardware. Artist and guild member Steve Tucker designed the mural.

Art guild president Kat Walker says they decided on the design because of its patriotic and “down home” feel. After selecting the design painters used a projector to put the image on the wall as a guide for painting.
“We’ve had a team working on this ever since the end of April,” said Walker. “Today we’re doing the urethane, putting the urethane coating on it so this should be our last day.”
Walker also thanked members of the community who helped bring the project to fruition.
