LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Lawrence County woman was killed Tuesday morning in a single vehicle crash.
According to Illinois State Police, Jacqueline A. Rainey, 64, of St. Francisville, was driving north on County Road 800 East, one half mile north of Sand Barrens Lane in Lawrence County when she ran off the right side of the roadway. She overcorrected, and drove back onto the roadway before running off the right side, striking a utility police.
Rainey was transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
