
Who says you can’t treat yourself while also working towards your goals? Cake has traditionally been one of those treats that is hard to avoid.
I am a firm believer in having things in moderation to avoid going crazy. Unfortunately, cake is a hard thing for me to have in moderation. Because of that, I have experimented and made an easy and much healthier single serving protein cake recipe. This cake can be made quickly in the microwave and also cooked in the oven.
The recipe replaces all the traditional sugars and flours used to make cake with higher quality ingredients and uses protein powder as its base.
This can be used as a treat or post workout snack. Either way it will curb any sweet tooth who has goals but also wants to enjoy the sweeter things in life while
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 scoop of CHOCOLATE BROWNIE BEST PROTEIN™
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp almond flour
- 1 tbsp of honey
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp chocolate chips of choice (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
MICROWAVE
- Place all the ingredients into a mug or mason jar and stir thoroughly.
- Cook on high for 50 seconds.
- The cake will expand so after step 2 let it sit for 30 seconds in the microwave.
- Cook for another 25 seconds on high or until fluffy.
- Let it cool down for 2-3 minutes.
- ENJOY!
OVEN
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a mug or mason jar.
- Stir together ingredients thoroughly in a separate dish.
- Add stirred ingredients to greased mug or mason jar.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until fluffy.
- Let it cool down for 2-3 minutes.
- ENJOY!
